Aim: The aim was to describe adult patients quality of life after cardiac arrest and resuscitation with CPR. Method: A literature overview based on eight scientific articles and one master thesis. Results: The result is presented in three categories, physical, psychological and social quality of life. Sleeping disorders, fatigue and low energy level affected the physical quality of life in a negative way. The psychological quality of life was often impaired the first time after the cardiac arrest, to be improved over time.

Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturstudie var att beskriva hur livskvaliteten påverkas hos personer med Multipel Skleros (MS) och vad som kan göras för att öka livskvaliteten. I syftet ingick även att beskriva hur personer med MS upplever fatigue som är ett av huvudsymtomen av sjukdomen samt vad som kan göras för att lindra följderna av fatigue. Artiklarna har sökts i databaserna Elin@Dalarna och Cinahl, tillgängliga via Högskolan Dalarnas proxyserver och granskats med hjälp av en granskningsmall för att säkerställa att de var av en god kvalitet. Sökord som användes var: ?multiple sclerosis?, ?quality of life?, ?nursing? och ?fatigue?.

Hjärtsvikt är en folksjukdom som förekommer hos omkring 2 % av befolkningen. Hos den äldre befolkningen är det ett vanligt tillstånd och bland personer över 65 år lider 6-10 % av hjärtsvikt. Hjärtsvikt är ett allvarligt tillstånd med hög dödlighet, sjuklighet och nedsatt livskvalitet. Trötthet (fatigue) är ett av symtomen som diagnosen oftast grundar sig på. Fatigue har en central betydelse för patienternas begränsningar i sin funktionsförmåga.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the fatigue life of two components in different hydraulic quick couplings. The crack which initiates the fatigue failure usually occurs in the bottom of one of the threads. Thus, the threads in the coupling are carefully investigated. A few different approaches for determining the fatigue life are studied for each component. CAD (Computer Aided Design) models for both components are created and analyzed with FEM (Finite Element Method).

Syfte: Var att öka förståelsen för upplevelsen av fatigue hos personer med MS och fatigues inverkan på livskvaliteten samt hur sjuksköterskan kan stödja och hjälpa personer med MS i vardagen.Metod: Litteraturstudie med deskriptiv design. Artiklarna (n=15) söktes fram i databaserna Medline via PubMed och Cinahl samt manuell sökning via referenslistor, sex stycken kvalitativa, åtta kvantitativa och en med en kombination av båda ansatser.Resultat: Det framkom att fatigue hos personer med MS var ett osynligt symtom som påverkade kroppen, led till begränsningar i vardagen, förvärrade andra symtom och led till sociala förändringar. Personer som led av fatigue hade lägre livskvalitet än den övriga befolkningen. Resultatet visade vilket stöd personer med MS önskade från sjuksköterskor. Personerna med MS hittade egna strategier för att hantera och lindra fatigue, ofta utan att ta hjälp av sjuksköterskor.Slutsats: Fatigue hos personer med MS var ett besvärligt symtom som påverkade deras vardag och sänkte deras livskvalitet.

Background: Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic disease that mainly strikes young people in working age, twice as many women than men falls ill. Approximately 85 % suffers from MS-related fatigue that divides itself from common fatigue in that way that it is persistent and does not disappear in spite of sleep. This fatigue is experienced of many as one of the most difficult symptoms, which has considerable impact on the everyday life. Aim: The aim with the study was to elucidate how MS-related fatigue was experienced by persons with MS. Method: The study has been implemented as a literature study through systematic review of scientific articles.

Multiple sclerosis is a disease whose course is capricious and unprediactable and the exact cause of the disease is still unclear. The purpose of this literature review was to describe factors that can effect quality of life of people with diagnosis multiple sclerosis. The results shows ten different factors that effect quality of life of people with MS: fatigue, activities in daily life, position of dependence, limits of the functional abilities, sense of guilt and shame, comunicationdifficulty, social network, emootional factors, depression and degree of difficulty of the symtomes. In their exposed position they are in need of help and support to pull through the situation. With the knowledge of factors effecting lung cancer patients? quality of life, it will be easier to give the help and support they need. AbstractThe aim of this review was to describe how quality of life is experienced among patients with diabetes type 2. Literature search was made in Medline and the keywords used were ?diabetes mellitus type 2? and ?quality of life?. Twenty studies were examined and categorized into four sections: Quality of life during complications due to diabetes type 2, quality of life during various treatments, quality of life during depression and quality of life and aspects in relation to the individual as well as social aspects. The designs of the studies were of a varying kind: randomized controlled studies, comparative studies, correlative studies and descriptive studies.

Many persons with long-term illness experience a decline in their quality of life. Perceived Quality of Life is a subjective term based on prior personal experiences and is highly individual. The aim of this qualitative study was to investigate perceived Quality of Life in persons with Multiple Sclerosis and to get knowledge if physical therapy changes a person?s quality of life. Three women and three men with a range of disability were interviewed in depth.

Abstract This is a qualitative study of elderly people's experiences of loneliness and quality of life. Also the relationship between loneliness and quality of life are examined. Previous research has shown that social loneliness is about when the social context are lost while emotional loneliness can occur with the loss of close relationships. Quality of life is about a sense of connection but also the quality of life arises in the difference between the expectation of what one is and what one wishes to have. This study has shown that the interviewees preferences, activities, social networks and low expectations on their life situation makes interviewees perceive themselves to be less lonely and have a good quality of life.

Bakgrund: Varje år drabbas 55 000 personer i Sverige av cancer och behandlas oftast med kombinerade behandlingar. Den vanligaste biverkningen och det mest påfrestande symtomet vid cancer är fatigue. Fatigue betyder extrem trötthet/utmattninig och är en subjektiv upplevelse. Fatigue är inte en trötthet som går över efter sömn och vila.Syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturstudie är att beskriva hur det är att leva med fatigue vid cancer och cancerbehandling.Metod: En systematisk litteraturstudie som bygger på 15 vetenskapliga artiklar. Artiklarna är både kvalitativa och kvantitativa och har kvalitetsgranskats utifrån Fribergs kriterier för analys av vetenskapliga studier.

AbstractThe aim of this literature review was to describe the quality of life in stoma patients after stomasurgery. Different combinations of the keywords ?stoma?, ?Quality of Life?, ?stomasurgery? were used when searching in the databases Medline, Cinahl, Academic Search Elite and PubMed. A total of nineteen articles were used in the result. Fifteen studies had comparing design and four studies had describing design.
